- Attend the class, "Discovering
Calvary"
- In this class you will be offered
a glimpse into the life and ministry of Calvary Baptist
church, its declaration of faith, mission statement,
strategy and organization and how you can get involved.
- The Procedure for Admission
- After attending "Discovering
Calvary" all applicants shall be required to appear
before the Spiritual Ministry Board and a pastor to give
testimony (1) of their personal faith in Jesus Christ,
(2) of their baptism by immersion, (3) of their
acceptance of the Declaration of Faith of this church.
- The Spiritual Ministry Board
shall bring a recommendation to the church, which
reflects the majority decision of the Board, for
admission to membership at any regular service or
business meeting.
- Prospective members from other
Baptist churches shall, if possible, supply a letter
from the church where they are presently members,
certifying their baptism by immersion and their
membership in good standing.
- All applicants recommended to the
church may give testimony (i.e. not required) of their
personal salvation experience before the church.
Admission shall require at least a three-fourths vote of
the members present at the meeting. The name of each new
member shall be added to the membership roll as of the
date of baptism or vote of admission to church
membership, whichever is last. If the new member
presents a letter of transfer, the Church Clerk will
then notify the church of the member's prior affiliation
of his/her addition to the Calvary Baptist Church Roll.
- New members are publicly welcomed
following the baptismal service, or as soon as
conveniently possible, following the completion of all
qualifications for membership.
